Well-being and fitness at the Y goes beyond just working out -- we provide educational programs to promote healthy lifestyles and offer a variety of programs that support physical, intellectual, and spiritual strength.
Embrace a healthier, more vibrant lifestyle with our complimentary ACTIVATE Wellness Orientations, exclusively available to both new and current members of the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County.
This isn't an equipment orientation; it's an empowering opportunity to connect, assess your goals, and receive the support you need to thrive.
What to expect at your first consultation:
Discuss your current physical activity level and wellness goals.
Create a SMART plan for reaching your goals.
Complete a movement assessment to identify weaknesses that need to be addressed.
Learn some exercises in our fitness center.
Anticipate questions such as:
Describe your specific wellness (health/fitness) goals. Short-term? Long-term?
Have you tried to achieve this goal in the past?
Tell us about your current physical activity or exercise program.
Describe your nutrition on an average day.
How many hours do you spend sitting?
Are there any specific exercises or activities that you cannot or do not want to do?
If you do not continue with personal training, you have the option to do a 30-minute follow-up consultation.
Upon progress evaluation, we're committed to:
Helping you re-evaluate your SMART goals to achieve personal success.
Making recommendations to help you stay on track with your fitness goals.
Sharing an overview of our healthy living programs and nutrition coaching services.
Offering advice and suggestions on how the Y can help you attain your long-term goals.
Offering a complimentary InBody composition test.
ACTIVATE is a great way to jumpstart your fitness journey. If you would like to take advantage of this, please talk to your local Y to get scheduled for a consultation!
